We hope you and your child can join us at Little Havens. The care team hosts the day and parents will have the chance to socialise with other families.
Activities include:
Massage Taster Session – open to those who have previously been to an infant massage class before and those who would like to give it a try
The infant massage routines are designed to relax you and your child in a safe peaceful environment. They involve both Indian and Swedish massage techniques, reflexology and yoga principles. This is the perfect opportunity to spend some one to one time with your child, enhancing your bond with positive touch and building your confidence with gentle settling routines.
Messy Play – Please let us know if your child is working towards any goals or milestones i.e. gaining strength in a certain hand or side of body, getting used to different textures etc. This can help us choose which messy play activities we do – so that they are useful for you all as well as fun.
Messy play is so valuable in the way it gives babies, children, and young people the opportunities to experience the world around them regardless of their medical health or physical needs.
Our sessions aim to spark sensory stimulation, cognitive development, emotional and social wellbeing, building on self-regulation skills but most importantly our aim is that the sessions are fun, enjoyable, and safe.
We try to have a range materials to explore as we understand that not all children like to get messy and it’s work in progress. Messy is play is great away to work on desensitising or working on food aversions.
The best part of all is you can have all the fun but there’s no need to worry about the tidying away, and if a bath is needed that’s no trouble too.
Story Massage
The day runs from 10:30am – 2pm and lunch will be provided, so please let us know any dietary requirements when booking.
