About Fair Havens

Fair Havens provides care and support to adults living with incurable conditions in Southend, Castle Point and Rochford. Our services are provided absolutely free of charge and available from the day of your diagnosis and throughout your life’s journey. 

Our specialist team can offer a wide range of care and support options for you and your loved ones, based on your needs and wishes. This can be in the comfort of your own home, in the hospice, or a combination.

We offer a wide range of nursing and wellbeing support, as an inpatient or through appointments. This includes life-enhancing therapies, help accessing benefits and local services, and emotional, mental health, social, and spiritual support.

Fair Havens can care for people:

  • Over the age of 18 years
  • Have a complex or incurable condition and require support to manage their symptoms or wish to be admitted for end of life or respite care
  • Registered with a GP in the Southend, Castle Point and Rochford area, or if their usual place of residence is within this area even if they are not registered with a GP (e.g. people without housing or travelling communities)

Fair Havens in situated in Prittlewell, just opposite the beautiful Priory Park. The hospice has 16 bedrooms, day therapy facilities, counselling and support rooms, and a physiotherapy gym. It boasts landscaped gardens and extensive parking for those using the hospice.
