By entering the 2025 Fire Walk or Lego Walk you are declaring yourself medically fit to take part and understand that the organisers, Sponsors or any assisting person or persons will be in no way responsible for any injury, illness, loss or damage to your person or property incurred during or because of the event or for any damage caused by you to other person’s property. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry for any reason.
Anyone over the age of 12 years who can walk at a controlled pace can take part in our Firewalk. If you have a pre-existing medical conditions, please check with your GP before registering for the event. No walker will be allowed to walk, without a signed liability waiver.
ENTRY FEES: Entry fees cannot be refunded if you are unable to attend
SPONSORSHIP MONEY: By signing up to the Fire Walk you agree to raise a minimum sponsorship of £100 for Havens Hospices. By signing up to the Lego Walk you agree to raise a minimum sponsorship of £60 for Havens Hospices.
PICTURES: You understand that pictures/filming taken during the event may be used by Havens Hospices to promote the work the charity does in the future. If you would not like your pictures to be used please email alane@havenshospices.org.uk
MEDICAL: Although the organisers accept no responsibility for any injuries, a first aider will be on site during the event.
DATA SHARING: Please note that in the case of a medical emergency on the day of the event your personal details will be shared with our event medical providers.
CONTACTING YOU: We will keep you updated regarding this event via email. It is important that you download and read all relevant information leading up to the event for your safety.
SAFETY: Only people who have attended the training are allowed to walk. All participants will be asked to sign a waiver before they take part in the event. Appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn, and footwear will not be removed until the fire walk is about to begin. The fire will be a total length of 5 metres (approx. 5 steps). Participants who, in the opinion of the trainer, are not sufficiently trained or are otherwise unprepared will not be permitted to fire walk.
Only the trainer will decide that the fire is ready, and the trainer will then walk over the coals before any participants, to ensure it is safe for the fire walk to begin.
AGE RESTRICTIONS: Participants for the Fire Walk must be aged 12 or over. Participants for the Lego Walk must be aged 5 and over. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years old at all times.
CANCELLATION: Should the event need to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, such as adverse weather conditions, we ask you to consider your entry fee as a donation to the charity. We will also look to reschedule the event where possible.
