Spiritual Care Volunteer (All Faith & Non-Faith)

Contract: Minimum of 2 hours, Monday – Friday
Closing Date: 31st January 2023

We’re looking for a Spiritual Care Volunteer to assist in providing spiritual care at Havens Hospices.

Volunteers help enhance the patient experience, to bring a sense of unconditional love and affirmation to the lives of patients, family members, volunteers and colleagues regarding matters of faith, spirituality, personal values and belief. Working as a part of the Wellbeing service and part of a multi-disciplinary team approach to identify and provide specialized spiritual and pastoral care of patients, their families and carers, and to support staff throughout the organisation in providing appropriate spiritual care as part of the holistic care.

Role description

Responsibilities

  • Providing spiritual care as part of the spiritual care team at Havens Hospices as part of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Helping identify and provide the spiritual and pastoral care of patients, families and cares.
  • Undertaking any Mandatory Training which is in line with Havens Hospices policies and guidelines
  • Undertaking any other duties that maybe designated by the Spiritual Lead
