The J's Hospice is a registered charity which provides high quality care for young adults aged 16-40 with life limiting conditions and their families across Essex.
We are a unique organisation that delivers a skilled service to our patients in the comfort of their own homes as well as offering specialist knowledge not found or duplicated in other community services.
We specialise in caring for people with rare and complex long-term conditions - including multiple disabilities, severe cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, Juvenile Huntington’s disease and Duchenne muscular dystrophy - as well as supporting young people aged 16-25 with cancer.
Our team has the experience and expertise to support these medical needs in combination with all of the other issues and difficulties that their family / carers may experience. Our services include tailored specialist nursing, respite, advice and emotional care as well as end of life care and bereavement support.
We help these young adults to be as independent as possible and have the best possible quality of life, however short this may be.
