Steve began working at Havens Hospices in 2018 in the facilities department, playing a key role in the construction of the new Fair Havens building before joining the Leadership Team in 2020 as the Head of Facilities.
He says, “I was excited to work at Havens Hospices and be part of an organisation going through such a huge change like the new Fair Havens construction.
“Not only did we complete the new build on time and on budget, but in just 10 days after the building was finished, it was fully kitted out with furniture and equipment, and we welcomed the first patient. I’m proud of all of my teams and everyone who was involved in this project.”
Steve is responsible for the day-to-day running of all facilities across the organisation, including, Catering, Housekeeping, Reception, Maintenance, Facilities Admin/Purchasing, Health and Safety and IT.
“I enjoy the variation in my role and being able to push and make improvements wherever I can to improve the hospices for our patients and their families.”
