Judy joined Havens Hospices over 18 years ago and brings a wealth of experience in fundraising to the charity. She started as an Event Fundraiser and, over the years, worked her way up to become the Events Manager, then Voluntary Income Manager, before taking on the role of Head of Fundraising in 2021.
Prior to joining Havens Hospices, Judy worked for a company that supported numerous charities, coordinating their charity fundraising. During this time, she made several visits to Little Havens. It was those visits that inspired her to work for an organisation that supported local families and offered their specialist care, free of charge.
She says, “When I joined Havens Hospices, it was my first role in the charity sector, and I immediately felt committed to the cause and determined to do a good job. I wanted a role where I would feel I had made a difference every day.”
Recognising the importance of successful fundraising for the charity’s long-term financial sustainability, Judy’s priorities are to motivate, inspire and support her team.
She says, “I am excited to support the team’s development and work together to be the best Fundraising Team we can be so we can grow and sustain our income long-term to care for more people in our community when they need us the most.”
