Local Freemasons Support Local Hospices with Generous Donation

Havens Hospices recently welcomed the Bounds Green Lodge 4406 for a special visit to Fair Havens to see first-hand how its fundraising makes a difference.

John O’Connor was representing the London-based Masonic Lodge, which raised funds for Havens Hospices during their annual Ladies Night. The charity, which has two hospices, Fair Havens and Little Havens, was chosen as the beneficiary for the event because several Lodge members have had personal experiences with the exceptional care and support Havens Hospices provides to families facing incurable illnesses.

Judy Grocott, Head of Fundraising at Havens Hospices, had the pleasure of hosting John and showcasing the compassionate and specialist care that takes place every day at Fair Havens.

Clare Paveley, a Health Care Assistant on the Inpatient Unit, was on hand to accept the generous donation from the Lodge on behalf of the charity.

John said, “I was so delighted to be able to choose Havens Hospices as the beneficiary of our Ladies Night. Being local, I am aware of the incredible work they do. Visiting Fair Havens further showed the incredible support, care and dignity offered to those it supports and how important funds being raised are to them.”

Havens Hospices relies on donations and community support to continue its vital work. If you are part of a group or club and would like to fundraise for local hospice care, the charity would love to hear from you. Its friendly fundraising team is ready to offer support and advice.
