Give a Gift of Kindness this Mother’s Day to support local hospice care

Havens Hospices is asking the community to consider buying a gift with a difference this Mother’s Day.

A ‘Gift of Kindness’ works by purchasing and dedicating a meaningful gift to your loved one, which makes a life-changing difference to a child or adult receiving care at Havens Hospices.

It’s a gift that keeps on giving, a gift for mum and a gift for local children, adults and their families, helping them to create precious memories together at either Fair Havens or Little Havens Hospices.

Su Harrison, Fundraiser Officer at Havens Hospices says: “Instead of buying flowers, cards and unwanted gifts this Mother’s Day, why not consider a sustainable and meaningful ‘Gift of Kindness’ to support your local hospice charity? A donation of just £5 could purchase a gift of craft materials for a session of creative therapy, helping patients express themselves through making special keepsakes for their mum or carer.

“As a charity, we rely on the generosity of the community to help keep our services running. We must raise more than £85,000 a week to be there for those who need us during the toughest of times and by purchasing a ‘Gift of Kindness’ today you’ll be playing a huge part in securing local hospice care for future families.”
