From Shop Floor to 15,000 Feet – Hockley Charity Shop Manager to Skydive for Havens Hospices

After 15 years of dedicated service at the Havens Hospices’ charity shop in Hockley, local resident Sally-Ann Burridge is preparing to take her commitment to new heights – quite literally – with a charity skydive from over 15,000 feet.

On Saturday 14th June, Sally-Ann will take part in the exhilarating challenge to raise vital funds for Havens Hospices, a cause close to her heart and the community she has served for over a decade.

Sally said, “This charity has been a huge part of my life for so long. When I was gifted the skydive as a Christmas present by my son and granddaughter, I knew I wanted to use the opportunity to do something that would give back.”

Sally is a much-loved member of the Havens Hospices retail team and has helped to raise thousands of pounds through the Hockley shop on Spa Road by managing donations, supporting volunteers, and welcoming customers with a smile.

Havens Hospices provides specialist care and support for people of all ages who are living with incurable conditions across Essex. The charity relies heavily on donations and fundraising to offer its services free of charge to those who need them most.
