Join our Family Voices group to stay up to date with what’s happening at Little Havens, share your experiences, and help shape our services for children, young people and families.
Each session gives families the chance to meet with Emma, Head of Children and Young People’s Service, hear updates about the hospice and take part in informal discussions focused on different areas of support.
Sessions can be attended in person at Little Havens or online via Microsoft Teams,
Your opinion, suggestions and ideas are vital regardless of what type of care you are currently accessing, so please know you are welcome to attend every group or just once or twice a year. Children and young people are welcome too.
Each session will include:
Members of the Play Team will run activities nearby during the session to support children, allowing parents and carers to take part if they wish. Children are also welcome to stay in the session with their parent or carer. Please note that clinical care will not be provided during this time.
Emma and members of the Wellbeing Team will also be available after sessions for one-to-one conversations if families would like to raise specific questions or concerns.
Session dates and times
Following feedback from families, sessions will now be held at different times throughout the year:
Light refreshments will be available at in-person sessions.
Booking information
To help us plan sessions, arrange speakers and cater appropriately, all sessions must be booked in advance using the booking form, whether attending in person or online.
If no bookings are received 48 hours before a session, it will be cancelled so staff time can be allocated elsewhere.
Stay involved throughout the year
If you cannot attend a session or have feedback to share at any time, families are welcome to contact Emma and the team by emailing lhinfo@havenshospices.org.uk.
Key updates and information discussed at Family Voices sessions will also be shared through the family newsletter so everyone stays informed, even if they cannot attend.
