Bereavement and loss are individual, affecting people in many different ways. This five-day interactive course takes an in-depth look at the experience of bereavement and loss, allowing you to develop the skills and knowledge needed to support and care for people who are grieving.
The course is delivered in a safe, confidential and supportive environment, allowing you to develop and discover your own response to grief and loss and how you can use this to support others.
Delivered through a mix of presentations and group discussions to support your learning, some people will be required to share their own experiences of bereavement and loss, so it will not be suitable for those who have been bereaved for less than a year. Please email the Learning & Development Team or call 01702 220 350 if you would like to discuss this further.
“Listening to people’s life stories was just an experience that you cannot get anywhere apart from being in such an environment to understand it. It also gave me the opportunity to experience grieving from other people’s experiences, which was fantastic.” Previous Delegate Feedback.
