Leaves of Life Terms and Conditions

  1. Payment: Payment is required before engraving and installation. The value of this payment depends on the Leaves of Life tree you have chosen
  2. Engraving: Maximum character limit applies – 10 characters per  line. maximum two lines.. Content must be respectful and subject to approval.
  3. Production As leaves are personalised by hand, please allow up to six weeks from the time of signing up, to placement on the tree. If there are any unforeseen delays, we will contact you.
  4. Display Period: Each leaf remains on display until such point a Direct Debit is cancelled, a renewal payment is not made or payment lapses.
  5. Renewal: If you have signed up through a one-off payment, you will be contacted near the end of the display period for renewal or return arrangements.
  6. Return: If you no longer wish to renew, you'll have the option to own your leaf for a suggested donation of £10 to cover the costs of removal, postage and packaging, or you are welcome to collect this from Fair Havens. Please contact 01702 220305 or fradmin@havenshospices.org.uk to arrange this.
  7. Placement: Engraved leaves will be placed according to space availability. There is capacity to have two engraved leaves per ‘tip.’ If you wish to have a leaf placed alongside another loved one, please contact us and we will do our best to honour this request. Please note that the some of the leaves on the tree at Fair Havens may be placed above eye-height
  8. Maintenance: Havens Hospices will maintain the Leaves of Life memory trees but is not liable for damage caused by weather or unforeseen events.
  9. Safety: For your own safety, please do not cross the rope barrier, climb the tree or pull on the branches or leaves
  10. Personal tributes such as flowers and soft toys, acts/ceremonies of remembrance or committal are not permitted around the tree or surrounding grounds and will be removed
  11. Visits: You are welcome to visit the Leaves of Life trees. Please check opening hours of Southend Crematorium. The tree at Fair Havens is accessible at all times.
  12. Refunds & Changes: Payments are non-refundable once engraving is confirmed. Amendments may not be possible after submission.
