After a successful first year, the community fundraising event Glow for Havens will return for its second year on Saturday 19th September, following its achievement of raising over £32,000 in vital funds for specialist care and support provided by Havens Hospices.
The feel-good fundraiser will start at dusk at around 4:45pm and is open to all ages, inviting participants to take part in a 5K or 12.5K walk through the beautiful woodland surrounding Little Havens and the picturesque setting of Hadleigh Castle. Participants are encouraged to dress in their brightest outfits for an unforgettable evening experience.
After completing the walk, participants can celebrate their achievements and keep the fun going at the event village with good food, drink, and a silent disco for just £3, making it an extra memorable evening.
What makes the evening truly magical is that whether people are walking in memory of a loved one or simply enjoying a fun evening with family and friends, every step will help support Havens Hospices in continuing to provide care for families living with incurable conditions.
Lucy Lock, Community Engagement Manager, said “Last year’s event was incredibly popular, so we’re really pleased to bring Glow for Havens back again. It was really special seeing our community come together, everyone had their own reason for taking part, but together they made a huge difference to local hospice care. Glow for Havens is a night to come together, get glowing and raise vital funds for a local cause. Every step you take supports local people of all ages living with complex or incurable conditions, helping them to make the most of every day. So, put on your brightest outfits, gather family and friends, and light up the night with us”
Adult tickets cost £18, Child (16 and under) cost £12 and Under 5s go free. There is an option to save with a Family Ticket, and a ticket upgrade option for the Silent Disco at £3 per person.
