After visiting Little Havens Children’s Hospice last year and supporting their Christmas appeal, Ferne McCann has become an official Patron of the charity. She will help raise awareness of the hospice and the vital care they provide to families across Essex.
Little Havens, based in Thundersley and part of Havens Hospices, provides specialist care and support for babies, children, and young people living with complex or incurable conditions throughout Essex.
“I am incredibly proud and excited to become a Patron of Little Havens. After visiting Little Havens last year, I saw firsthand the incredible work they do. Meeting the amazing staff, children and their families was such a moving experience. The care, compassion and warmth of the hospice really stayed with me, and it’s something I will never forget.
As a parent, it really hit home for me. I know just how precious every single moment with your children is, and seeing how Little Havens provides such a safe, supportive and loving environment for children with incurable conditions and their families is truly special.
I am so excited to begin my role as Patron, to help raise awareness of the amazing work Little Havens does, spend more time with the families, and support the charity in as many ways as I can. Every family deserves the kind of care and support that Little Havens provides, and I’m proud to stand alongside them in making every day count.”
In her role as Patron, Ferne McCann will help raise the profile of Little Havens Hospice by spreading awareness and acting as a spokesperson for the charity’s vital work. She will continue to support the charity’s fundraising efforts and visit the hospice, spending quality time with the children and their families, creating precious memories along the way.
Every child facing a complex or incurable condition, and their families, deserve to receive the best possible care during the most challenging times of their lives. Thanks to the support of people like Ferne McCann, Little Havens is able to raise awareness of the free, vital care it provides, ensuring that more families can access the help and support they need when they need it most.
