Havens Hospices has introduced another special way to remember loved ones this winter alongside its annual Light up a Life campaign. Its ‘Robins of Remembrance’ campaign invites supporters to dedicate a bespoke robin decoration to keep and remember someone special at home.
For every decoration purchased for £15, Havens Hospices will also hang a matching robin decoration at either of its hospices, Fair Havens or Little Havens, creating a beautiful display that celebrates the lives of those missed.
Robins are often seen as a sign that loved ones are near, making them the perfect symbol for this time of year, bringing comfort and making a difference to local people supported by Havens Hospices.
Sharon Davies, from the In Memory Team at Havens Hospices, says: “Each year, our Light Up a Life campaign is warmly embraced by the local community, and this Christmas, we wanted to offer a new way for people to remember their loved ones. Our special robin decorations make a beautiful tribute to those no longer with us, and they’re perfect for hanging on your Christmas tree this festive season. In addition, we will hang a robin on our trees at the hospice, creating a heartfelt display of remembrance.
“By dedicating a decoration, you’ll be supporting local people who are facing the devastating news of an incurable condition. You don’t need to have experienced our hospice care to take part—everyone in our community is welcome to join us in this meaningful gesture of remembrance.”
