Business Community Swings into Action for Little Havens

Golfers from businesses across Essex came together for a fun day of golf whilst raising vital funds for local families facing incurable conditions.

On 21st May, Havens Hospices held its Corporate Golf Day at Stock Brook Country Club for a day of friendly competition and vital fundraising in support of its children’s hospice, Little Havens.

The day started with breakfast on arrival, followed by a 18-hole competition. Once the teams completed their round of golf, they enjoyed a two-course meal, and an auction.

The highlight of the evening was a truly moving talk from Lucy, who shared her family’s experience of the care her son Harry receives from Little Havens children’s hospice, showing first-hand just how vital hospice care is.

An incredible £11,000 was raised for Little Havens. The local charity relies heavily on fundraising from the local community to carry on providing its specialist care and support to children, young adults, adults and their families from across Essex.

Vanessa Harvey, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Havens Hospices said, “We are so grateful for the incredible support shown at this year’s Corporate Golf Day. Events like this truly make a huge difference to the expert care we provide to babies, children and young adults living with incurable conditions across Essex. Little Havens must raise more than £79,000 to be there for all of the families who need us and it is only through the incredible generosity of our local community and businesses that we are able to do so.”
