Taking place on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September at Ipeco, Rochford, this ticketed event is the only opportunity to see all 103 penguin sculptures together in one spectacular display before they waddle off to their forever homes at the Grand Auction.
Vanessa Harvey, Project Manager for Waddle-on-Sea at Havens Hospices, says: “The Farewell Weekend is a chance to celebrate the success of Waddle-on-Sea, which has brought so much joy to residents and visitors alike throughout the summer. We’re thrilled to reunite the full huddle of penguins one last time so people can appreciate the incredible creativity and talent behind each sculpture.
“Every ticket purchased supports the specialist care provided by Havens Hospices. We must raise over £207,000 every week to continue delivering our vital services, and events like Waddle-on-Sea play a crucial role in making this possible. We’d love for you, your family, and friends to join us in giving the penguins the perfect send-off.”
To make the event accessible for all, relaxed sensory sessions will be held at 9am on both days, designed specifically for visitors with additional needs or sensory sensitivities. These sessions feature reduced capacity, dimmed lighting, no background music, and time to exit before the next session begins.
A family ticket to the Farewell Event (two adults & two children) costs £25, adults £10 and children £5. To book your time slot, visit www.waddleonsea.co.uk/farewell
