Wellbeing Administrator

Contract: 37.5 Hours Per Week. £19,000
Location: Fair Havens Hospice

We are currently recruiting a Wellbeing Administrator to join our established Wellbeing Team, to provide accurate administration to the team ensuring that patients and families are put at the centre of the service.

Candidates will have:

  • 3 years experience in a health care environment
  • Recent experience in an administrator role
  • Experience working within a busy department
  • Educated to a GCSE level
  • Advanced ICT skills and confidence with all Microsoft applications
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written

At Havens Hospices we care for children, young people and adults with complex or incurable conditions. Our specialist Care Teams can support them and their family living throughout illness, death and bereavement, in the comfort of their own home and through our hospice services, Fair Havens, The J’s and Little Havens.  Although you may not be giving direct care to our families, this role will have a direct effect on our care services.

Key responsibilities:

  • To work as part of the wider team of coordinators to ensure that services are streamlined with robust internal referral pathways
  • To work with the hospice multi-disciplinary team to ensure that assessments are coordinated and monitored and that referrals to the service are appropriate
  • To monitor all referrals and ensure they are allocated the appropriate level of support through the MDT process
  • Contact referrers and patients on the waiting list to acknowledge their referral and advise on the next steps. Signposting or referring to other agencies or professionals as appropriate
  • To share the responsibility for the coordination of all Wellbeing services with the team.
  • To coordinate workshops and groups with the wider team of coordinators as agreed by the service leads
  • To monitor and respond to the website, email and phone enquires
  • To arrange and prepare for team meetings
  • To support the Head of Wellbeing with coordinating meetings and minute taking
