Volunteer Services Manager

Contract: Full Time- 37.5 Hours Per Week
Location: Little Havens

We are currently recruiting a Volunteer Services Manager to join our established People Department, to provide strategic direction and to deliver a high-quality volunteer service to the Charity.

Candidates will have:

  • Experience working in a volunteer management role
  • Broad knowledge of volunteering good practice and its practical application
  • Experience of working in a volunteer setting, offering expertise and advising managers, staff and volunteers on the full range of volunteering issues
  • Proven experience of developing an existing service
  • Experience managing a team

Our specialist Care Teams can support them and their family living throughout illness, death and bereavement, in the comfort of their own home and through our hospice services, Fair Havens, The J’s and Little Havens.

Key Responsibilities

  • To liaise with departments to understand the volunteer needs of the organisation at a strategic level
  • To work with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and grow our youth programmes, through a positive experience encouraging them to become volunteers-supporters of the future Making volunteer roles at Havens Hospices accessible and attractive for all
  • To work with the Fundraising Teams on how to use volunteers to assist and support them with their activity
  • To manage, support and train the Volunteer Services Advisor, administrators and volunteers.
