Quality and Compliance Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality and Compliance Officer.

The main responsibilities of this role include to ensure the charity is compliant with external regulatory requirements and internal policies. To develop and manage the annual Information Governance audit, and Governance Committee. To provide support to those undertaking audits.  Management of the charity’s policies and procedures, ensuring all documents are up to date.

The successful candidate will have an IT qualification, previous experience within audit and compliance, in depth knowledge of information governance and GDPR, able to plan, design and develop quality management systems. The ability to analyse information and critically evaluate data, proven reporting skills.

New Fair Havens Hospice

This is an exciting and rewarding time to join us as we begin to move into our new hospice.  It will incorporate 16 in-patient bedrooms, increase Day Hospice services, additional family support and beautifully landscaped gardens and grounds. Currently in the construction stage in Southend it will bring together a range of specialist services to support people through the journey of their illness, and as the end of their life approaches.

Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure the charity is compliant with external regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • As the data protection officer to develop and manage the annual Information Governance audit and assurance program, providing assurance to the Head of Quality, Senior Leadership Team, and Governance Committee. To provide training and support to those undertaking audits.
  • To manage the charity’s policies and procedures, ensuring documents are up to date with current legislation and practice and remain coherent with each other.
  • To keep abreast of all matters relating to GDPR and Information Governance. Create awareness across the organisation.
