Maintenance Technician

Contract: Full - Time 37.5 hours (covering 7 days a week)
Location: Thundersley and Westcliff

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to work within our Maintenance team. You’ll be responsible for maintaining the buildings and building services that enable the Charity’s to provide services without interruption. An ideal candidate will have proven building maintenance experience, intermediate keyboard and IT skills and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • To undertake maintenance, testing and repair activities across the organisation
  • Setting up rooms for use by hirers or external guests in a timely manner and in accordance with the request
  • To assist, as required, in the planning and control of any new works (e.g., building projects, refurbishment or relocation projects), including liaising with appropriate departments or external agencies.
  • To follow the Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule using the Facilities Maintenance Database (including PAT testing)
  • Liaising with/overseeing contractors and volunteers whilst they are on site as appropriate, maintaining appropriate records of all activities using the Facilities Maintenance Database
