We are currently recruiting a Health, Safety & Environmental Officer to join the charity’s dedicated Facilities Team.
Working as part of the Facilities team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive health and safety advice, training, and support to all Havens Hospices staff and volunteers, ensuring that the health and safety systems and processes within all hospice sites remain compliant, adhering to current health and safety legislation and guidance.

The successful applicant will be a Hospice employee and may therefore have contact with vulnerable people and carers; they may certainly come into contact with those who are caring for vulnerable people and/or their carer. It is necessary to take significant steps to protect the health and safety of our entire community. In order to comply with our duty of care, Havens Hospices require all our staff and volunteers to be fully vaccinated against COVID. Vaccination will be a condition of employment unless a medical evidenced exemption applies.
At Havens Hospices we care for children, young people and adults with complex or incurable conditions. Our specialist Care Teams support them and their families living through illness, death and bereavement, in the comfort of their own home and through our hospice services.
Although you may not be giving direct care to our families, this role will have a direct effect on our care services.
