Digital Development Officer

Contract: Full time (PT considered)
Salary: £28,000 (pro rata if PT)
Location: Fair Havens, Southend. Opportunity for agile working

We’re looking for a Digital Development Officer to join the charity’s dedicated Marketing and Digital Team.

This is a new role to help expand and develop our web-based products to raise more money for the charity, make it easier for people to access information about care or engage supporters in our campaigns and events.

How can you use engaging digital platforms to support the care and fundraising of Havens Hospices?

Candidates will have experience of delivering digital projects from scoping, testing, implementation and evaluation, as well as CMS, analytic and social platforms.

Candidates will have:

  • Experience in a marketing and/or digital environment
  • Experience in CMS and data analytics packages
  • Experience in bringing products to market and delivering projects in a fast-paced environment, to time and budget
  • Content creation, photography, filming and editing skills – Adobe, Canva
  • Excellent IT skills, working with Microsoft programmes including Teams

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the exploration, consultation, approval, test and implementation of new digital features, products and platforms
  • Work with third party agencies/consultants when development is outsourced
  • Define metrics, evaluate and report on digital development
  • Further develop automated email journeys for acquisition/retention of individual supporters and campaigns
  • Audit existing digital platforms and make reccomendations for improvement
  • Assist the Marketing & Digital Team in delivering social campaigns through owned/paid media
  • Advise Income Generation Teams on digital opportunities to support our existing portfolio of events
  • Contribute towards the Marketing & Digital Strategy, tying in to the organisation’s overarching objectives
  • Create digital (inc AV) content in line with Havens Hospices brand guidelines using a range software
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety and other organisational policies and procedures.
  • Comply with Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR requirements in all working practices maintaining confidentiality, integrity, availability, accuracy, currency and security of information as appropriate. Take personal responsibility for all personal data within own working environment.
