Havens Hospices Helping Hands which was formed in August 2016 to raise money for Havens Hospices. Our charity provides respite, symptom management and end of life care to seriously ill children and adults across Essex in their own homes or at the hospices.
On Saturday 18th November, 10:30am – 15:30pm, the group are holding a Festive Fun Day at Belle Vue Baptist Church in Southchurch. On the day there will be a number of festive and fun activities for all ages including face painting, a choir from Sacred Heart Primary School, Storytime with Disney Princess Belle, a raffle and Father Christmas will be in his grotto helping to get people in the Christmas spirit.
Lorraine Jibb, Chair of Havens Hospices Helping Hands said,
“This is our annual Christmas fundraising event and we are really looking forward to the day. Last year we raised £2,600 and we’re really hoping to surpass that. I’d like to thank all the kind individuals and businesses who donated gifts and prizes for our raffle and tombola and all the volunteers who will be helping us on the day.”
Community Fundraiser at Havens Hospices, Sally Bridger, added,
“The Havens Hospices Helping Hands group works extremely hard all year gathering toys and gifts to be used for a raffle, tombola and other stalls to raise funds as well as organising this fantastic annual Christmas fun day. At Havens Hospices we must raise £100,000 to be there for everyone who needs us and this is only possible thanks to our fundraising group and members of the local community who continue to support the hospices. Together, we’re ‘Making every day count’ for those we care for.”
