Our Service and Books of Remembrance 

Our Light Up a Life Service

We are delighted to be welcoming back our services*, planned to take place on:

  • Canvey Methodist Church, SS8 9AB – Saturday 4th December at 4pm
  • St Mary’s, SS2 6LQ – Sunday 5th December at 4pm
  • Southend Crematorium, SS2 5PX – Saturday 11th December at 2.30pm  
  • Hadleigh Salvation Army Temple, SS7 2PF – Sunday 12th December 2021 at 4pm

*subject to government guidelines. 

We will also be ‘live-streaming’ a special Light up a Life service on Friday 10th December at 7pm which can be viewed on our Facebook page @HavensHospices. You don't need to book and if you can't tune in, visit our YouTube channel from 8pm that evening.

Books of Remembrance

The Books of Remembrance will be available to view from December and throughout 2022 at the following venues.

  • Fair Havens Hospices, SS2 6PR
  • Southend Crematorium, SS2 5PX
  • Canvey Methodist Church, SS8 9AB
  • St Mary's Church, SS2 6LQ

Your donations and our gift

When you make a donation in memory of your loved one, we will: 

  • Dedicate a light on our hospice Christmas trees
  • Send you a personalised card 
  • Place your loved ones name into a special feature within the Echo Newspaper on Friday 10th December *
  • Include your loved ones names in our Books of Remembrance*
