Christmas shoppers helped a local toy shop raise £378 for Little Havens Hospice for children by being part of a Frozen themed raffle in the run up to the festive season. Tickets were £1 each and the prize was a Lego Frozen 2 Arundelle Castle worth £74.99.
Toys N Tuck in Queens Road, Southend put on the event in support of the Haven Hospices Christmas fundraising appeal.
The store is a regular supporter of the charity and has raised £2235 in total over recent years through collection tins at their tills.
Community fundraiser, Sally Bridger, said. “We’re very grateful for the support of Toys N Tuck over the years. The raffle was a great success and has helped to raise much needed funds for the Hospice. Little Havens must raise over £46,000 a week to be there for everyone who needs us and this would not be possible without the consistent, generous support of businesses like theirs – they are truly helping us continue to fulfil our promise of ‘Making every day count’ for the children and families we care for.”
