Local Company Donates Over £110,000 to Little Havens Hospice

A local Leigh-on-sea businessman has donated over £110 thousand pounds to Little Havens Hospice over the last 11 years.

Steven Lewis, who alongside his brother Michael set up the Basildon based company The Underfloor Heating Store in 2008, is extremely proud to have reached this amount, having begun donating to the charity in 2008. He said, “It gives me great pleasure to able to help this amazing charity, the support they provide in our community for the families involved is invaluable.”

As well as its regular donations, the company has been the main sponsor for the Southend Half Marathon for the past two years and sponsors the Havens Hospice Gala Ball as well as the Little Havens Charity Ball, which this year will be held at the Cliffs Pavilion.

Lydia Plews, Little Havens Corporate Fundraiser said,

“We’re so grateful to The Underfloor Heating Store for their continued support Little Havens must raise over £46,000 a week to be there for everyone who needs us and this would not be possible without the consistent, generous support of businesses like theirs – they are truly helping us continue to fulfil our promise of ‘Making every day count’ for the children and families we care for.”
