Have a ‘tee-mendous’ day beside colleagues supporting Havens Hospices

A local hospice charity is on the lookout for teams from local businesses to join its annual charity golf event which raises vital funds for care.

Havens Hospices’ Corporate Golf Day will return on Thursday 28th April at Stock Brook Country Club, Billericay.

Over the past five years the event has raised thousands of pounds for Havens Hospices which provides palliative nursing and supportive care to children, young people and adults living with complex or incurable conditions in the comfort of their homes or at its two hospices.

Teams of four cost £290 and the programme for the Golf Day begins with tea or coffee and a breakfast roll on arrival, followed by a fun 18-hole round of golf where teams will compete for the winner’s trophy.  Teams will also enjoy a two-course meal once they have completed their round of golf and for an additional donation, can enter the raffle for a chance to win some great prizes.

Another way to support the charity is for local businesses to sponsor one or more of the 18 holes on the course. An advert for the company will be displayed at each hole that they sponsor.

Lydia Plews, Business Development Manager at Havens Hospices says: “Our Corporate Golf Day event is always popular amongst local businesses and we can’t wait to welcome new and existing supporters for an enjoyable day out with colleagues.

“The event is a fantastic way to entertain clients, network with other local businesses or just to have a fun day out with your colleagues whilst supporting a great local cause. Every pound raised will help the charity to continue providing its free essential services such as respite, end of life care, symptom control and bereavement support. ”
