The Hares About Town ‘Farewell to the Hares’ event offers a unique opportunity to see all 30 beautiful Hares and 57 Leverets in one place at The Cricket Pavilion, Garon Park between Friday 24th September and Sunday 26th September with plenty of family entertainment, activities and stalls for a fun day out.
The sculptures have been showcased across Southend all summer as part of the charity’s Hares About Town public art event in partnership with Wild in Art. Each one has been individually designed by an artist and sponsored by a business to form a free, fun, family-friendly trail of discovery for local residents and tourists to explore and enjoy.
Judy Grocott, Voluntary Income Manager at Havens Hospices says: “Hares About Town has brought so much joy to so many people over the summer. This Farewell event will be a fitting end not only to celebrate its success with the community but also to say thank you to every single person who supported the trail and the charity along the way. Every pound raised helps Havens Hospices continue supporting local families who rely on our specialist hospice care.”
People can purchase tickets for a time slot on either Friday 24th, Saturday 25th or Sunday 26th September. Entry for the event costs £5 per adult, £3 per child or £10 per family, two adults and two children. Visit www.havenshospices.org.uk/farewellevent to book.
This event is kindly sponsored by Couno, BTMK Solicitors, Ayers & Cruiks, Gilbert & Rose, Power Testing Ltd, Westbound Logistics Services Ltd and Affinity Group.
