Give a Gift of Kindness to local families in need of hospice care this Christmas

A local charity has launched a range of gifts with a difference on Giving Tuesday, a day designed to support good causes.

As part of its Christmas fundraising campaign, Havens Hospices has created Gifts of Kindness, a collection of meaningful gifts that are not only a unique present for someone special, they also make a truly-life changing difference to the children, young people and adults the local hospices care for.

A gift of £5 could pay for craft materials for a session of creative therapy, helping patients express themselves through art techniques or £20 could pay for a festive meal for a family staying at one of our hospices, giving them a night off cooking so they can spend precious time together.

Judy Grocott, Voluntary Income Manager at Havens Hospices says, “Every Christmas many of us spend time searching for the perfect gift for loved ones, and all too often end up giving them something they don’t really need or want. By purchasing one of our ‘Gifts of Kindness’ you are giving a meaningful and personalised gift in support of our hospice care, making sure the families we care for continue to make treasured memories this Christmas during difficult times.

“Incurable conditions don’t take a break during December so support Havens Hospices today by giving the gift of giving to a local cause.”
