On Friday 6th December, Cruise & Maritime Voyages will be hosting their 4th Annual Festive Captain’s Gala in aid of Havens Hospices on their Magellan Cruise Ship.
It’s the perfect event for a memorable work Christmas party, plus gatherings of families and friends and couples too.
The Magellan which will be docked at the London Cruise Terminal in Tilbury will welcome guests for an impressive five course Gala dinner, an after-dinner show followed by an overnight stay aboard the ship and a hearty full English breakfast the next morning.
Guests will not only be treated to a fabulous show after their delicious meal, they’ll be treated to a late-night cabaret as well, and will be able to let their hair down and party the night away in one of the lounge bars.
Tickets for what is set to be a fantastic way to start the festive season are £99 per person, based on two people sharing or £79 per person without the overnight stay. There’s a £30 supplement for a single cabin and upgrades are available. All proceeds from ticket sales will be going to Havens Hospices.
Lucy Beech works at Billericay based, Roseville who held their Christmas party at the event in 2018.
“As a company we found it a great way to get together and celebrate our company party, along with the fact that it supports a fantastic cause that really touches a lot of the staff,” she said.
“Normally booking a large group of us in restaurants or venues can be so stressful in the lead up to Christmas, so this idea was ideal. Everything was in place – all that needed to be done was invite the guests! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the 5- course meal and taking part in the auction was fun.
“We all stayed overnight on board, which made for an even more enjoyable night, not having to worry about transport home late at night. It’s not often you get to party on a cruise ship into the night, so it was such a novel idea. Thank you again Havens for hosting another fantastic event.”
Lydia Plews, Corporate Fundraiser for Havens Hospices said,
“We are extremely grateful to Cruise & Maritime Voyages for hosting what is set to be an incredible evening and a perfect way to kick off the festive party season! By donating all the proceeds from the night, they are truly going to be helping us fulfil our promise of ‘Making every day count’.”
“Havens Hospices must raise at least £100,000 a week to be there for everyone who needs us. This is only possible because of the kindness of companies like Cruise & Maritime Voyages and all our wonderful supporters across Essex, who come to these events, donate regularly or fundraise their way!”
