It’s the perfect event for a memorable work Christmas party, plus gatherings of families and friends and couples too.
The Magellan which will be docked at the London Cruise Terminal in Tilbury will welcome guests for an impressive five course Gala dinner, an after-dinner show followed by an overnight stay aboard the ship and a hearty full English breakfast the next morning.
Guests will not only be treated to a fabulous show after their delicious meal, they’ll be treated to a late-night cabaret as well, and will be able to let their hair down and party the night away in one of the lounge bars.
Tickets for what is set to be a fantastic way to start the festive season are £99 per person, based on two people sharing or £79 per person without the overnight stay. There’s a £30 supplement for a single cabin and upgrades are available. All proceeds from ticket sales will be going to Havens Hospices.
Taking the opportunity for a short Christmas break will be Liz and Danny Chaplin. Their daughter, Ava, has severe brain damage, and her condition means she needs 24-hour care. Ava, Liz, Danny and brother George, have been visiting Little Havens Hospice for respite breaks since the beginning of 2010.
Danny said, “As a father and husband, I wanted to fix everything for my family, but there are some things that you just can’t fix, and Little Havens is there to help us all keep going. They are there for all of us, not just Ava.
“We’re really looking forward to joining the charity for the event. This year Ava has gone through quite a lot of changes as she nears puberty and we have found ourselves facing new challenges; so, the opportunity to spend the evening together away from those challenges and just be us is going to be fantastic.”
Lydia Plews, Corporate Fundraiser for Havens Hospices said, “We are extremely grateful to Cruise & Maritime Voyages for hosting what is set to be an incredible evening and a perfect way to kick off the festive party season! By donating all the proceeds from the night, they are truly going to be helping us fulfil our promise of ‘Making every day count’.”
“Havens Hospices must raise at least £100,000 a week to be there for everyone who needs us. This is only possible because of the kindness of companies like Cruise & Maritime Voyages and all our wonderful supporters across Essex, who come to these events, donate regularly or fundraise their way!”
