The fundraiser takes place at Chelmsford City Racecourse from 12pm on Sunday 15th August and will be raising money to support children and young people from across Essex with a complex or incurable condition.

Attendees will relax and enjoy the races in a spacious marquee and elegant outside seating area whilst tucking into a delicious buffet lunch with Mediterranean meats and seafood platters.

Tanya King, Philanthropy Manager at Havens Hospices says: “This event is a great way to spend an afternoon with friends, family, colleagues or entertain clients whilst supporting a local cause. In addition to this, if you’re looking for the perfect day out for the kids during the summer holidays and fun for all the family, Chelmsford City Racecourse will also be hosting a Family Fun Festival on the day in aid of Havens Hospices with activities and inflatables.

“The charity provides its specialist care within its two hospices or in the home for free but it costs over £81,000 each week to offer this specialist, palliative care. By attending this event you will be helping us raise vital funds so this care can continue ‘Making every day count’ for everyone we care for.”

Tickets cost £48 per person for seating in the marquee and buffet lunch including entrance to the racing track. There are also sponsorship opportunities available for this event.
