The Eastern Home Counties division of Countryside Properties held a Charity Golf Day in aid of Havens Hospices in October with more than 100 attendees, raising more than £17,000. This is in addition to a £10,000 gift given at the start of 2020 and 2021, and its vibrant Chelmsford housing development Beaulieu sponsored one of the charity’s largest fundraising events of the year, the Chelmsford Marathon and Half.
Not only does the company support Havens Hospices through kind donations, staff and residents have been taking part in the events which has helped to raise money which helps to fund the charity’s free palliative and supportive care.
Chris Bladon, Managing Director, Eastern Home Counties, said: “Havens Hospices provides such valuable support to so many people in Essex and we are very proud to support the work they do. Ensuring services like this can continue is enormously important for our communities.”
Rachel Hawksworth, Voluntary Income Team Leader from Havens Hospices said: “The support Countryside Properties has given Havens Hospices over the years, this past year especially, has been nothing short of incredible and we can’t thank them enough.
“After a really difficult 20 months of fundraising due to the Covid-19 pandemic our care and support across Essex continues to be free of charge to our patients and their families, and that’s all thanks to businesses like Countryside. With your kindness, we can continue to secure the future of hospice care for children, young people and adults across Essex.”
