Bag a wedding dress for less for your Big Day in support Havens Hospices

An Essex based hospice charity is saying ‘…Yes to the Dress’ by auctioning off wedding dresses to raise vital funds for its care.

Havens Hospices had a mixture of new and ex-display gowns generously donated by Confetti and Lace bridal boutique located in Lakeside Shopping Centre.  To help encourage sales, the Trading Team at the charity created a promotional photoshoot with the support of local hairdressers, make-up artists, models and photographers. It took place at Southend wedding venue The Boundary, with everyone involved donating their time for free.

Sarah Schubert, E-commerce Manager at Havens Hospices said: “Havens Hospices is incredibly lucky to have such amazing supporters like Confetti and Lace donating these beautiful wedding dresses in support of our care.

“Brides could be walking down the aisle in sought-after wedding dress brands including Sophia Tolli and Justin Alexander and paying a fraction of the price. We know how expensive weddings can be so by bidding on one of these dresses will not only save you money but you’ll also be shopping sustainably and supporting your local hospice charity at the same time.”

All proceeds raised from the eBay auction will help fund the charity’s free specialist hospice care to people of all ages across Essex living with a complex or incurable condition.

Many of the dresses due to go under the online hammer will have starting prices from £24.99 with sizes ranging from UK 10-22, meaning bidders can potentially snap up their dream dress at a fraction of the original price.

Auctions will go live on the charity’s eBay shop from 8pm on Thursday 17th February, ending on 27th February.
