Coaches from children’s football academy, Baby Ballers will be taking on a celebrity team including ex West Ham player Jack Collison, former professional footballer Leroy Lita, TOWIE stars Dan Osborn and Harry Lee and more. Off the pitch, 2016’s Big Brother winner, Jason Burrill will be there to cheer the teams on, as will Hollywood stuntman and original red power ranger Adam Richards, plus Little Havens Patron, local singer Arianna Morgan.
Baby Ballers Academy owner Richard Elms decided to organise last year’s event after he and the academy’s mascot Bobby took some toys to Little Havens in November 2017. He was so impressed that he and his team decided to put on the football match to help raise much-needed funds. Approximately 700 people attended, raising over £4500 and Richard was keen to do more.
“Last year’s event took months of planning,” said Richard, “but it was such a success we just had to do it again. Our Little Havens XI team of coaches and parents from our Baby Ballers classes is now complete.
“We have some great names already confirmed for the opposing team”, he continued, “but we could make space for any football mad celebrities or ex-pros if they would like to join us on the day and help us make every day count’ for the children and their families at Little Havens.”
As well as the football match there will be a penalty shootout, a nerf target game a performance by Britain’s Got Talent Dance Group, IMD Legion and much more.
Last year some of the Little Havens families attended, with one of the siblings, Millie acting as mascot for the day and presenting the winning celebrity team with their medals, and some of the children will have the chance to be mascots again this year.
