The Big Corporate Quiz organised by Havens Hospices, which includes Fair Havens, Little Havens and The J’s, took place virtually this year due to the pandemic.

Over 200 people from 27 teams of businesses took part last week to support Havens Hospices which provides palliative nursing and supportive care to adults, young people and children living with complex or incurable conditions across Essex.

The winners on the night were a team from Chambers Group, a recruitment company based in Rochford.

The 2021 Corporate Quiz was kindly sponsored by financial company Sacre Associates which has an office in Chelmsford. An auction and raffle were held on the night with prizes including a PlayStation4, Makita Drill set, Amazon Fire 7 Tablet and a luxury hamper.

Rachel Hawksworth, Voluntary Income Team Leader from Havens Hospices said, “Thank you to all the teams including our sponsors who attended and supported this year’s Corporate Quiz. Although the quiz was online this year, that didn’t take away from the fun and enjoyment we usually have on the night.

“The event is a great opportunity for businesses to get together, socialise, network and have some fun outside of work – it was fantastic again to see so many teams turn out from a variety of businesses across Essex and London.

“Our care hasn’t stopped during the Coronavirus pandemic and neither can our fundraising. It is because of their support and generous donations our Care Team at Havens Hospices can continue to provide palliative nursing and supportive care to those who need us most. We hope to see you all back next year for another evening of fundraising and fun.”
