£1 Clothes Sale to support Havens Hospices

Shoppers looking for a good quality bargain are being invited to a pop-up clothes sale being hosted by a local charity.

Havens Hospices is arranging the event on Saturday 7th March to raise vital funds which will help to provide palliative nursing and supportive care to adults and children living with complex or incurable conditions across Essex.

The clothes sale will take place at Little Havens Hospice, Daws Heath Road, Benfleet, SS7 2LH, between 11am and 3pm and all items will be priced at £1. Parking will be available on site and shoppers are asked to bring their own carrier bags.

Not only will shoppers be purchasing good quality and affordable clothing but will also be playing a part in recycling and reusing clothing that has been kindly donated to the shops by the local community. Havens Hospices’ charity shops stop more than 1,000 tons of clothing and other recycling material going to landfill every year.

Director of Income Generation at Havens Hospices, Trevor Johnson said, “This is the first time we have run a pop-up clothing sale of this scale and every purchase by you will be helping to ‘Make every day count’ for those we’re caring for. The hospice must raise over £81,000 each week to be there for everyone who needs them.

“There will be plenty of choice to browse through and everything on sale has been specially selected from our 23 charity shops’ stock. We hope to see as many people there as possible looking to find a great bargain for a good cause.”
