This programme will give you an insight into how teenagers respond to bereavement and loss. It will explore some of the common misconceptions around teens and grief. It will also look at ways of responding to and working with bereaved young people.
The objectives are as follows:
• Using current research and what young people are saying
• Look at the basics of grief theory and link it with the highly acclaimed Leeds Animation Workshop DVD
• Look at issues for teenagers when they are grieving
Some knowledge of bereavement theory would be helpful. This course may not be suitable for newly bereaved people as this course involves experiential learning.
