Havens Hospices are gearing up for their annual festive
fundraiser, with even more seasonal twists this year!
Havens Hospices will hold their Run Santa Run event on
Sunday 4th December at Wat Tyler Country Park in Basildon. As well
as a 4.5k Santa Run there will also be a 2k Reindeer Run for children and
families, a Santa’s Grotto, Choir, Snow Machine, Reindeer and Christmas
Havens Hospices, which incorporates Little Havens and Fair
Havens, cares for children and adults with life-limiting conditions both at the
hospices and in the community. We provide respite, symptom management and end
of life care, completely free of charge for as long as is needed.
Susie May, Events Fundraiser at Havens Hospices says,
may only be October but we’re already getting into the Christmas spirit and
hope people will join us in spreading some festive cheer on 4th
December. Everyone who takes part in the Santa Run will be given a red and
white Santa suit to run in and all of our Reindeer racers will get antlers and
a flashing red nose.
“Each week Havens Hospices must raise £100,000 to provide
respite, manage pain and give end of life care to children and adults with
life-limiting conditions at our hospices and in the local community and this is
only possible thanks to our supporters who join us at our events. Everyone who
