The Silent Commentary Fashion Show and Lunch was organised by Rita Roth from Westcliff-on-Sea and presented by Occasion Boutique based in Chalkwell.
The event took place on Tuesday 5th April and around 130 guests attended in support of two charities - Havens Hospices and Southend and Westcliff Jewish Community Centre. Hosted at Genting Casino the event included a three course lunch and raffle.
At the end of the event the proceeds were split between the two charities.
This year’s successful event now brings the total that Rita has raised across four shows to over £10,000.

“I am delighted with the success of this year’s show and with the news that we have now raised over £10,000 for the charities. I would like to thank everybody who attended and supported the event. I am indebted to Genting Casino and Occasion Boutique without whose generous help this annual function could not take place. I am also lucky to have a super group of friends who all support my efforts.
“Jewish Care provides valuable services to the ‘not so young’ in this area. The Community Centre is wonderful and offers good company, good food and entertainment together with trained support workers. They also provide a Home Care team. Fair Havens Hospice and Little Havens Hospice provide care to adults and children with life-limiting conditions as well as supporting their families. I firmly believe that these local people should be given the maximum care to ensure their lives are as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.”
