Roles
There are many roles a Young Ambassador for Havens Hospices can take on, from working directly with the Care Teams to helping raise vital funds for the charity.
The Volunteer Young Ambassadors Fundraising Groups will be supporting the Fundraising and Marketing Team by arranging a calendar of fundraising events to generate income for Havens Hospices or Little Havens, whilst promoting the value of the charity amongst your peers. Enquiries for placements within care have now closed and will resume in March 2012 ready for October 2012 intake.
A Volunteer Young Ambassador for Day Care will support the staff in the Fair Havens Day Care Centre. Working directly with the Care Team and patients, you'll be learning a range of skills as well as assisting to serve refreshments and help on the craft projects.
At our In Patient Unit at Fair Havens, Volunteer Young Ambassadors will be part of a small team to ensure the unit is welcoming and that patients and their visitors are comfortable, as well as offering a listening ear.
The weekend Kitchen Assistants for the In Patient Unit will also be part of a small team to ensure the patient's meals and dietary requiements are met and serving the meals.
