There are not many nursing roles that, in return, give you time. Time to care for your patient, time to listen, time to be a Nurse.
But that’s what we do at Little Havens Children’s Hospice where our priorities are different. Our focus is on holistic and true family centred care, Making Every Day Count.
One day you could be managing symptoms at the end of a child’s life, the next you could be working with the multi disclinipary team to plan a day out to the cinema or the seaside because our children want to do all the normal things that that children love to do like laugh and play, discover new things, and have fun.
You’ll be liaising with other health professionals to develop care plans and allowing families to guide routines of care.
Our care here is led by the children, not targets or deadlines therefore you’ll make a real difference to the lives of our families who rely on Little Havens to create a sense of normality in their lives.
This can only be handled by extraordinary people, and we are looking for people to join our team and help Make Every Day Count for the children we are caring for, making their journey – and that of their family – as comfortable as possible, creating special memories along the way.
The posts are based in beautiful meadowland in Rayleigh, Essex.
In return for your expertise and passion you will receive 5 weeks annual leave, extensive training and we will also contribute to the NHS Pension scheme for continuing members.
