“You matter because you are you, and you matter to the last moment of your life.”
Dying matters. Yet dying is still a subject which many people fear talking about.
At Havens Hospices, caring for babies, children, teenagers and adults with life-limiting illnesses inevitably involves supporting them and their families through some of the sad and difficult conversations they may need to have.
This can also include offering them advice on some of the more practical aspects of death, dying and bereavement, such as making their personal wishes known or planning for a funeral.
Dying Matters Week (9th – 15th May) exists to highlight the importance of being more open to talking about death, dying and bereavement.
We hope to encourage you to consider having similar conversations with your loved ones and to think about making plans for the end of life.
