Sylvia was an extraordinary woman.

She cared for her husband Reg at home all through his illness, not letting him go into care although she was in her sixties at the time.

She was a homemaker, I cannot remember a time when the door wasn't open to a warm inviting home.

She loved her family and her garden when she was still able to go out there, adoring sweet peas and freesias.

The best mum in the world.
