Our Dad was looked after at Fair Havens Hospice in his last few weeks of life, and received invaluable care.
Dad could always make you laugh, and he was the person you would go to for advice and guidance on everything and anything. If he wasn't sat at the computer surfing the net, he was out at a flea market picking up an antique to add to his collection.
He loved a glass of Rioja with all his dear friends in London who adored his wit and charm. He was proud of his wonderful neices and nephews in America and would visit them whenever he could.
Dad was amazing at playing Trivial Pursuit and would always win! He knew so much about history and always took us to museums, galleries and stately homes. He was a huge fan of living in Southend-on-Sea and would take us to the Beecroft gallery and the Planetarium.
We had so many days out bowling, and playing crazy golf. Every Saturday we would go out for pizza and to the cinema, or pile into his lounge and put loads of dvds on, order a takeaway and maybe have ice cream too!
Dad had a huge appetite for life. His will to live, and to learn and to travel, and to love us forever was so strong, we never thought we would have to say goodbye, but at least we will never forget how special he was.
Love from Kate, Bethan and Scott, who will love you forever xxx
