Here at Havens Hospices we know as well as anyone that losing someone you love is one of the hardest things you will ever have to experience.
Honouring that special person by making a donation in their memory is a valuable and positive way of celebrating their life, whilst helping Havens Hospices to continue "Making Every Day Count" for the people who need us most.
Donations in lieu of flowers
Flowers last a few days, but the difference made by donations to Havens Hospices in lieu of flowers can make a lasting and vital gift to those who really need it. Often these donations are collected at the funeral service and many funeral directors will be able to arrange the collection for you. We are happy to provide you, or your appointed funeral director, with specially printed envelopes in which people can make donations.
Alternatively, you may prefer to ask people to send their gifts directly to the charity. The only information we will need to accompany these donations is their name, address and the name of the person that they are donating in memory of.
Personal donations
You can make a one-off donation in the following ways:
- You can make an online donation. All donations will receive an immediate email to acknowledge and thank you for your kindness.
- Alternatively you can send a cheque made out to Havens Hospices, Little Havens Children’s Hospice or Fair Havens (depending on where you wish your donation to be spent) to Administration Office, Stuart House, 47 Second Avenue, Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex SS0 8HX.
- Or you can phone 01702 221670 to make a donation with a member of staff.
In each instance we will need your name, address and the name of the person you are donating in memory of.
Alternatively you may wish to make a regular gift by card, direct debit or standing order. Supporting us in this way enables our Care Teams to plan today for the adults and children who will need us in the future – all in the memory of someone special. And if you donate a minimum of £50 a year, you will automatically become a Special Friend of Havens Hospices.
