We at Fair Havens Hospice understand this is a difficult time for you and your family.
If you would like to visit us before making a decision, this can be arranged by telephoning our Nursing Team on 01702 220350.
Patients are fully involved in decisions about their care, helping them to retain control and choice. Our care extends to families, friends and carers.
The aim of Fair Havens is to provide specialist hospice care – also known as palliative care - in a holistic manner for people living with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses together with those closest to them.
Palliative care is defined as,
“...the active holistic care for patients with advanced progressive illness. Management of pain and other symptoms and provision of psychological, social and spiritual support is paramount.” - World Health Organisation
“The goal of palliative care is achievement of the best quality of life for the patients and their families. Many aspects of palliative care are also applicable earlier in the course of the illness in conjunction with other treatments.” National Council of Hospice and Palliative Care
