Once a year both Fair Havens Hospice and Little Havens Children's Hospice hold an Open Day for schools, giving staff, pupils and school governors an opportunity to see the real operations of a hospice as well as meeting the teams involved in providing care for our patients and children.
Groups of up to 10 people are given the chance to take a full tour of the hospice services, including patients’ bedrooms, play areas and the sensory room, among other facilities.
Members from all departments are at hand to answer any questions that may arise in a professional and sensitive manner.
Open Days are a great insight into the working of the hospice, an experience that has motivated donors to continue supporting the charity.
Our next Open Day is at Little Havens Children's Hospice on Thursday 22nd September.
